Yes world, I am still here!!

Though you may have thought differently due to Mummy not updating for me in AGES…so she is officially sacked. …. After she has finished typing this for me…maybe…we’ll see…

Balls!

Balls!

Anyway…There has been much going on in the life of the Hoopoo over the last 3 and a bit months! I have grown more teeth, and bigger feet (I am bigger in general actually)I can sing not only Balamory, but Twinkle twinkle, Old MacDonald, and do the actions to Incy Wincy spider. (Are you suitably impressed? - Mummy and Daddy are - especially when I perform from my extensive repertoire in the wee small hours of morning!)  I have travelled well since we last spoke -visiting Nana and Grandpa in their  new home in Derby (and seeing cousins Ewan and Erin too) Popping over to Granny and Grandad’s to play in the garden, and rearrange a few flowers and stones…I have been on holiday with Mummy and Daddy to Cumbria which was great fun as I got to go in the backpack and got brilliant views of everything. Mummy and I have been out for coffee with Auntie Grazie and Aggie (who can apparently now climb like me - hee hee, watch out Uncle Rob and Auntie Grazie!!) Also we’ve gone out with Mummy’s friend Auntie Ana and my mate Luke (who I’ve given some of my toys to)and shopped (which can get a bit boring unless I nap)and I had a go in a swimming pool. (and I didn’t cry, it was actually quite nice.) Auntie Cheila and Amy and Eve have visited and we’ve seen them too and eaten lots of cake. so hopefully we’ll see them again soon! Mummy was even very brave and drove us to see Uncle Ich and go on a miniature train with teddy at Frimley Lodge Park which was brilliant. (and fast!) And finally this weekend we saw Auntie Jules and Uncle G and I rearranged the stones and a few flowers in her garden too. (and picked and ate a raspberry which was yum….and also a green tomato which was not.)so as you can see it has been a bit of a whirlwind.

I am also expecting that some people may have been brought to the edge of boredom by all this prose, and will have scrolled down to the pictures….shame on you!!!  This is probably how it will be from now on as I don’t allow Mummy much Pooter time, so you better get used to it!

We will be seeing Nana and Grandpa soon when they come down for the day, and Granny and Grandad will be back from holiday soon too. oooh , I nearly forgot - I also got to see two of my other cousins when Uncle Nick bought them to say hello - Merry had a blue plastercast on his arm as he fell when trampolining (not sure what a trampoline is but it sounded fun and then painful) and Kallista fell asleep on the sofa (even when I prodded her with some mega bloks) The other two other cousins were in Poland with Auntie Nedra doing a violin course, so I’ll see them another time I expect.

I discovered that Daddy’s nice boss lady Carmen sometimes reads my blog (aswell as some of Daddy’s work friends) when Mummy and I went to meet her last week. She was very nice, even when I went a bit shy, and gave me some lovely presents. Mummy gave her some chocolate biscuits before we left - I think she should have given them to her first then I could have had one. never mind, I’ll remind her next time.

Ok. now photo time. If Mummy can get it to work…. I thank you for your patience, and look forward to chatting with you again soon. (well, sooner than this time at any rate!) mwah mwah xx

Passover, pastures new and Easter!

On Wednesday it was the beginning of Passover and Mummy made dinner for Granny and Granddad, Uncle Richard and Daddy and me. (there was also a service-y bit before which was funny because everyone sang and leant sideways and ate crispy stuff) I made sure I joined in and had some crispy stuff too (Mum says it’s called Matzah) I then went to bed while dinner ensued - Daddy and Mummy say they had a lovely evening.

Then yesterday - Friday - we went to see Auntie Cheila and Duncle in their new house in Berkhamsted. It’s brilliant and big and there was loads of stuff for me to do like getting into cupboards and boxes and rooms and toys and time to play with Amy and Marc (and can I go again soon please!)

And today - Easter Saturday - Nana and Grandpa came down and we had lunch with them and Uncle Rob and Auntie Grazie and cousins Manon and Aggie and then play time at Auntie Grazie’s afterwards. (well, Aggie and I played while the Biggies had coffee and what looked suspiciously like chocolate…Thats another thing - this Easter thing is a bit like the Christmas thing in that there is lots of family time and giving of presents EXCEPT this time there is chocolate. Yes, lots of CHOCOLATE. mmmm including some for me. (Mum says there is a bit more to both Christmas and Easter but that she’ll explain it to me when I’m a bit bigger.) For now I’m happy with family, playtime and chocolate. (and both fluffy and rubber Duckducks!)

Happy times to all x

Playdate.2

We saw the Clarkes Belmont branch today and had a lovely day. I played lots with Aggie - she’s beginning to pull herself up on stuff now which is brill as we’ll be able to get up to all sorts of business when she starts walking like me! We went to the park and swung on the swings (did I mention I like swings?!) and then cousin Manon and Mummy took me on a new thing (Mummy says a slide) and it is sooooo much fun!! Sitting and then letting go and flying and being caught and doing it again and again! I definitely want to go there again (take note Mummy!)

After we got back, Auntie Grazie made me some tea, which I ate in Aggie’s car. (Mummy appreciated it  - thankyou Auntie Grazie!) Then Uncle Rob came home, so I showed him how far I can walk now. (he seemed suitably impressed). Well, must get off to bed now as it’s been a busy day.love etc, x.

Playdate!

Today I visited Auntie Grazie and Aggie with Mummy, and later on Uncle Rob and Manon came home so I had a very sociable time!. Aggie and I played lots and sang and danced and crawled and ate and drank (and spilled) and were generally adorable! (I’m sure Mummy and Auntie Grazie can think of some other words for us!) Here is us nearly contained, and then watching boogie beebies. Fab-u-lous dahhling! x

I blame the parents…

Well it’s 2009 - a whole new year would you believe, we’re already well into March and Mummy has only just decided to update my blog! (you just can’t get the staff these days) I have done soooo much it’s not possible to fit into one post (but I’ll try anyway!) Hmmmm where to start…Nana and Grandpa managed to sell their house in January and moved upto Derby near to Uncle Tim and Auntie Claire in February. (Mum says they’ve also just managed to get a permanent place to live now so hopefully we’ll see them soon) I am a pooter whizz kid and skype family members on a weekly basis - I sometimes manage to wave too! At the end of January I turned the grand age of one.(see the picture from my exclusive ‘do’ below!) Let me tell you it’s brilliant - I can do so many things I couldn’t do last year and all of them are more annoying for Mum and Dad! I crawl really quickly now and get into all sorts of things I am not supposed to get into (well my fingers are the perfect size for plug sockets and cupboards and drawers and I’m the perfect height for reaching mugs of coffee or tea or the remote control. AND I’ve perfected the art of throwing pretty much anything behind me - but small wooden blocks are best for making the most noise and causing the most upset!) We went up to see cousins Ewan and Erin after my birthday as it Ewan’s birthday in January too - he’s 5 now, a big boy at school, and very clever. Erin let me play with some of her toys which I thought was very kind and we all went to the park (apparently, I was asleep)

ok, what next… (keeping up ok?!) I did a photoshoot thing at Daddy’s work and was everso well behaved…there are a couple of pics below- aren’t I lovely?!

It was Mummy’s birthday in February (and Uncle Rob’s) and we had a holiday in Wales (pics below) I also managed to surprise the Parents by standing alone for a couple of seconds - it made them very happy, so I figured I’d practice a bit more over the coming weeks…Now I can stand for ages! and and and I actually walked on my own a few steps yesterday so watch out world I am nearly independently mobile!!

There have been many trips to the park - swings!!! -and Granny looks after me when Mummy teaches this new pupil, and I’ve made a new friend Luke (Mummy knows his Mummy Ana from Church) and seen Auntie Cheila and Amy and Eve and Tata JuJu and Auntie Grazie and Aggie and I’m SUCH a social butterfly!

Right, I think I won’t sack Mum just yet as she’s typed this without complaining, but she better not leave it so long next time. Goodbye my friends, Au revoir, Auf wiedersehen, ciao for now toot toot! x
