My mum was supposed to be singing at their wedding, but I rather put paid to that idea. Still, they couldn’t resist showing me off, so we popped in briefly to say hello.

Do I look like a Hobbit in this? Dad thinks so.

Finally, Mum and I get to go home. Dad has sorted a nice corner of the bedroom for me to sleep, whilst Nana has bought a big goodie bag full of nappies, feeding bottles, Milton and other bits and pieces.

Granny and Grandpa arrive bearing food for Mum and Dad. The first of many such mercy visits.

…and within minutes the first photo of me (above) is making its way across the Interweb.

I managed to pop out a bit quickly, giving Mum a nasty tear, so a rather dazed Daddy looked after me while Mummy was in surgery. Still, it gave Dad a chance to try out his new Video Camera!

I know both Mum and Dad were very grateful for Nana, who was present at my birth. A real pillar of practicality and calm.

My first night was spent in the delivery room, as no beds were available elsewhere. This turned out not to be a problem my staff treated me really well. (how could they not - I’m adorable!)
